14 Years, 100+ Clients, Hundreds of Millions in Ad Spend

BattleBridge did not start as a marketing agency. It started in 2007 when my wife and I launched an online figure skating store and a Google Ads consultant ran our first campaign. Revenue multiplied 20x in the first month. I spent the next year learning everything I could about PPC, and by 2012 I was consulting for other businesses. By 2014, I sold the e-commerce store and went all in on digital marketing.

What followed was 14 years of managing paid advertising, building SEO programs, running email campaigns, and scaling brands across every vertical you can think of -- from figure skating equipment to GPS trackers to golf clubs to men's soap.

This page is a record of who we have worked with and what we helped them accomplish. Some of these are major brands. Some are small businesses that became major brands. All of them trusted us with their marketing spend, and we delivered.

The Headline Numbers

We managed early Google Ads for a company that sold for approximately $1 billion.

We took an e-commerce brand from less than $10,000/month to $250,000/month in revenue.

We scaled a golf brand from zero to $400,000/month in ad spend.

We built our own e-commerce store to the #3 position in its niche and sold it.

We grew a medical supplement brand from zero to $100,000/month.

By 2017, we were managing $6 million per month in ad spend across 120+ clients.

We sold BattleBridge for $3.25 million to a publicly traded company in 2022. Then we bought it back and kept going.

Featured Client Results

Dr. Squatch -- Google Ads Management (2014-2015)

When we started managing Google Ads for Dr. Squatch, the founders were living together in an apartment in San Diego. They had built strong traction on Facebook but needed help with Google.

We set up and managed their Google Ads campaigns during their early growth phase. Dr. Squatch went on to become one of the most recognizable direct-to-consumer brands in the country and was acquired by Church & Dwight for approximately $1 billion.

We are not claiming credit for that outcome -- they built a remarkable brand and product. But we were there at the beginning, managing their Google campaigns while they figured out the rest.

Spy Guy Security -- Full Digital Marketing (2014-2024)

Spy Guy was one of our earliest and longest-running clients. When we started working with Allen Walton at the end of 2014, the business was doing less than $10,000 per month in revenue.

Through Google Ads management, Shopping campaign optimization, and ongoing digital strategy, we helped grow Spy Guy to over $250,000 per month in revenue at its peak. The relationship lasted nearly a decade -- one of the longest agency-client partnerships in the e-commerce space.

Henry Hawk Golf -- Brand Building & Paid Media (2016-2019)

Henry Hawk Golf was a brand we helped build from the ground up. Through aggressive Google and Facebook advertising, we scaled the operation from zero to over $400,000 per month in managed ad spend.

This was not just campaign management. We were partners in building the brand, developing the creative strategy, and scaling the media buying operation. At one point, we managed one of the highest-volume Google Shopping accounts in the golf equipment category.

RegenLabs -- Medical E-Commerce (2020-2022)

We built the digital marketing program for RegenLabs from scratch. Dr. Mark Ghalili had a product line competing in the BPC-157 supplement space but no meaningful online revenue.

Through paid advertising, conversion rate optimization, and email marketing, we grew the business to approximately $100,000 per month in revenue within the first year.

DIFF Eyewear -- Paid Advertising (2016-2018)

We managed Google and Facebook advertising for DIFF Eyewear during their growth phase. DIFF went on to become one of the most popular eyewear brands in Los Angeles and expanded into a major national brand carried by retailers across the country.

Carbon Fiber Gear -- Long-Term Client (2015-2025)

Carbon Fiber Gear was one of our longest-running client relationships at nearly ten years. Dave Pityluk trusted us to manage his Google Ads and digital strategy through multiple phases of business growth.

This is the kind of relationship we value most -- a long partnership built on consistent results.

Vet Comp & Pen (now Trajector Medical) -- Full Service

We did extensive digital marketing work for Jim Hill at Vet Comp and Pen, helping veterans connect with disability compensation resources. The company grew significantly during our engagement and later rebranded to Trajector Medical.

Jim remains a close friend and has offered to serve as a reference for our work.

Guy Harvey -- Digital Marketing & Web

We managed digital marketing and website work for Guy Harvey, one of the most iconic outdoor and marine lifestyle brands in the world. Our work included Guy Harvey Magazine and coordination with the Guy Harvey Foundation.

We managed paid advertising and content for The Otaku Box, a Japanese pop culture subscription box, and its sister brand TofuKitty. We grew the subscriber base from near zero to over 250 active monthly subscriptions through targeted Facebook and Google campaigns.

Isolator Fitness -- E-Commerce PPC

We managed Google PPC and Facebook advertising for Isolator Fitness, makers of the Isobag meal prep system. David Vollmer trusted us with his paid media through a period of significant growth.

What We Taught

Our founder Travis Phipps was not just running campaigns -- he was teaching other marketers how to do it.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to Facebook Marketing (Perry Marshall)

Perry Marshall is one of the most influential names in Google advertising history. His book Ultimate Guide to Google Ads is the best-selling book on the topic. Perry hired Travis to create and teach The Hitchhiker's Guide to Facebook Marketing, a comprehensive training program that Perry promoted to his audience of hundreds of thousands of digital marketers.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to E-Commerce Marketing (Americommerce)

Travis wrote and published The Hitchhiker's Guide to E-Commerce Marketing through Americommerce (now Cart.com), covering everything from Google Shopping to lifecycle email marketing for e-commerce businesses. The PPC version is available in our vault.

DigitalMarketer War Room

Travis was an active member of the DigitalMarketer War Room, the premier mastermind for digital marketing professionals run by Ryan Deiss, Roland Frasier, and Perry Belcher. Multiple BattleBridge clients came through War Room connections.

Ecommerce Fuel

Travis has been a long-time member of Ecommerce Fuel, the leading private community for seven-figure e-commerce store owners founded by Andrew Youderian. Many of the brands on this page came through the ECF network.

The BattleBridge Story

2007 -- Travis and his wife co-found CherryLoop.com, an online figure skating retailer. A Google Ads consultant runs their first campaign and revenue multiplies 20x in the first month. Travis becomes obsessed with PPC.

2012 -- After a year of intensive study -- courses, seminars, expert instruction -- Travis takes over CherryLoop's ad accounts and launches a PPC consulting business on the side.

2014 -- CherryLoop becomes the third-largest online figure skating retailer. Travis and his wife sell the business to focus entirely on the consulting venture, establishing Battle Bridge Labs.

2014-2017 -- BBL grows rapidly. Travis brings on Aren Johnstone, initially part-time, who becomes president and runs the Tulsa office while Travis manages strategy from Los Angeles. By late 2017, BBL manages approximately $6 million in monthly ad spend across 120+ clients.

2020 -- Travis acquires Plattr, an SEO and content marketing firm from Native Commerce (Perry Belcher's company). This transforms BattleBridge from a paid-ads shop into a full-service digital marketing agency offering SEO, content marketing, web development, email marketing, and paid advertising.

March 2022 -- BattleBridge is acquired by Logiq (publicly traded, NYSE) for $3.25 million. At the time of sale, the company forecasts $3.8 million in annual revenue and $1.4 million in EBITDA. Travis becomes President of Digital Marketing. The entire team stays on.

2022-2023 -- Travis runs the digital marketing division at Logiq, continuing to serve clients and grow the business within the public company structure.

January 2024 -- Travis buys BattleBridge back. The Logiq stock situation made it the right move, and Travis wanted to take the company in a new direction.

2024-2025 -- BattleBridge pivots to an AI-first model. Travis builds Reed, an autonomous AI orchestrator, and deploys a fleet of specialized AI agents for SEO, content creation, competitive intelligence, analytics, and more.

2026 -- BattleBridge launches its AI agent platform, offering businesses access to the same AI-powered marketing systems that manage our own portfolio of projects. Everything we learned managing hundreds of millions in ad spend for 100+ clients is now built into AI systems that work 24/7.

Why This Matters Now

We are not a startup that read a blog post about AI and decided to build chatbots.

We are a digital marketing firm with 14 years of real campaign data, real client relationships, and real results. We have managed Google Ads accounts since the platform was called AdWords. We have written the training courses. We have bought and sold businesses. We have managed campaigns for brands that went on to be acquired for a billion dollars.

Now we are building AI agents that contain all of that knowledge and experience. When our SEO agent writes content, it draws on the same playbook we used to rank 8,400+ city pages for Ultimate Senior Resource. When our analytics agent spots an anomaly, it thinks about it the same way we did when managing $400K/month in ad spend for Henry Hawk Golf.

That is the difference between an AI tool and an AI agent built by people who have actually done the work.

See what our AI agents can do for your business.
