Search and conversion measurement

Search Arsenal
and Conversion Arsenal

Search Arsenal shows what Google Search sends to your website, which leads and sales your own server confirmed, and what to do next. Conversion Arsenal is its conversion half. Both read your own data, one workspace at a time.

What it measures Asking from an AI app How to connect

What it measures

Two products.
One workspace.

You connect your own Google Search Console and Google Analytics, with read-only access. A workspace holds the figures for the properties you choose. An account can hold many workspaces, for example one for each client, and their data never mixes.

Search Arsenal

Organic search

  • Search performance Clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position from Google Search Console, by page, folder, query and device.
  • Index coverage Which of your pages Google has, which it shows and which it turns away, read from your sitemap and a rotating URL inspection sample.
  • Site audit A crawl of your own site: the issues it found by severity, why each one matters and how to fix it.
  • Rankings and keywords Your tracked keywords with their Search Console average position, and your own queries beside search volume estimates.
  • Competitors and backlinks What tracked competitors rank for and who links to your site. These are third-party estimates and are marked as estimates.
  • AI visibility Whether AI answers cite your site for a sample of your queries, and the visits that reach you from AI engines.
  • Next steps One ranked list of what to do, each step with its evidence and what is at stake. Nothing on your site changes from this list.
Conversion Arsenal

First-party leads and sales

  • Leads and sales The conversions your own server confirmed, each counted once, by type and by source.
  • Where they came from Breakdowns by landing page, page type, channel and campaign.
  • Funnels The path to a lead or a sale, step by step, with the number of people who reached each step.
  • Ad spend Imported ad spend, the cost per lead, and MER, which is revenue divided by ad spend.
  • Tracking A site tag for page views and campaign tags, server-side conversion sources, and a Shopify connection. The tag does not read what a visitor types into a form.
  • Send-back to ad platforms Counted conversions can be sent to Google Ads and Meta, and only where consent was granted.

Reports put the same figures on a page: an executive report, an SEO health report, a conversions report and a GEO report. You can open one, print it or send it on a schedule.

How to read the numbers

Measured, estimated,
or not measured.

Measured and estimated figures stay apart

A figure from a third party is marked as an estimate. It is never added to a figure measured on your own property.

Not measured is never shown as zero

A blank or the words "not measured" mean the figure was not collected. A zero is printed only where something was counted.

Every window is dated

Search Console finalises a day about three days later, so search windows end three days back. Lead and spend windows run to today.

Asking from an AI app

Ask in plain words.
Get your own numbers.

Search Arsenal has a connector for AI apps. You can connect ChatGPT, the Claude app or another tool that speaks the Model Context Protocol, and then ask about your workspace in a conversation. The app reads the figures from Search Arsenal and answers from them.

The account owner signs in to Search Arsenal from the AI app, picks one workspace and allows the connection. The connector has 18 tools, one for each kind of question, and none of them writes anything. Every answer states the dates it read and says whether a figure is measured or estimated.

What a connection can read

What the one workspace holds:

  • Search, ranking, keyword, competitor, backlink, site audit and index coverage figures
  • Conversion, funnel and ad spend figures
  • The Setup checklist
  • The Next steps, with the fixes proposed for them
  • The Help and feedback threads of the workspace

What it cannot do

  • It cannot change anything. It only reads.
  • It reads one workspace. To read another, the account owner connects again and picks it.
  • Email addresses, phone numbers and the identifiers of individual visitors are removed from everything it reads.
  • It cannot be set up by anyone except the account owner, and the owner can end it at any time.

The check looks for email addresses and phone numbers. It does not recognize a person's name inside a search query or a page title, so that text is passed as it is.

Questions to start with

  • What can you see for this workspace, and how fresh is each source?
  • How did organic search do in the last 28 days against the 28 before, and which pages lost clicks?
  • What is our cost per lead by channel in the last 28 days, and where do people drop out of the funnel?

The steps for each app, the limits, what is never returned and how to end a connection are on the connect page.

Accounts

Accounts are by invitation for now

To ask for a Search Arsenal account, write to us through the support page. Tell us your company name and the website you want to measure.

The connector works with an account you already have. It reads the workspace you pick and nothing else.
